Young girl had sudden onset of Bi-Polar type symptoms, but was cured by a new treatment.
Lengthy article, I skimmed through it, and I'm wondering about the pic. She's pictured with bags of prescription bottles, I counted around 20 that are visible. She was getting meds for 10 months, and that seems a short time to have gotten this many.

Anyway, could this explain Autistic Behaviors??
Or is this a load of bullocks ??

the article mentions that the cases being considered for this "PANS" diagnosis were all very sudden onset, as in the kids were perfectly normal and then within 24-48 hours they are anywhere from obsessive and psychotic to catatonic. doesn't sound like either bipolar disorder or autism to me. something that comes out of nowhere so abruptly is not likely to be genetic--much more likely that it's some kind of (cerebral) infection or trauma. even with a brain tumor that effects behaviour it's likely that you would see a more gradual onset than just 24-48 hours.

beyond that, not sure if it's bollocks or not.

It is outrageous that someone so young has had to endure all of those medications. There has to be a better way to deal with all of this.

I agree, but they were trying to help with a very extreme case.I'm curious about what triggered her auto immune system to in effect "attack"her brain.the auto immune system is a complicated system, which usually helps us,but can destroy us as well.I'm glad they finally found the cause of her issues and were able to help.

I don't think it can explain autism,as untreated things should get worse(imo)but more research is needed
Can this explain "possessions by the devil" In the past,i wonder

That is already explained. Ergot fungus in the flour. It is highly hallucinogenic. The primitive beliefs of their society led them to believe the women were possessed by devils rather than ill due to eating a bad batch of bread/bakery products.
