Do you ever feel like you went to a school (i.e. middle school, highschool) where just about all the people there were more socially advance compared to most other schools? Like their social skills were so advanced on many levels that fitting in and trying to understand their social ways would actually be hard for an NT too? This might sound odd but I lived in a town where I felt like this was definitely the case. I lived in a relatively upper class neighborhood and ALL (and I mean just about all) the people at my school where like the kind of people you would see in a popular group at a normal school. There really wasn't any social gradients or cliques of different social statuses i.e. the "cool/popular group", the "nerds", the "semi popular/cool". On top of that, people always seemed to socialize in ways that seemed more confusing then most typical people i tried to socialize with -often loaded with odd inside jokes that didn't make sense or sound silly, topics that were hard to fallow, and people that were hyper observent. I feel like this made socializing even harder then it already. Do you ever feel like you went to a school like that?

The second hs that I transferred to yes. The nice part was that they were incredibly accepting of me. I had an easy time connecting with them.

The first school HS and JH was not so much.
