I'm curious - do you think there is anything in particular going on in these photos? Or are the faces too hard to read and they could mean anything?

The middle couple just realized they're both looking at something dirty.

In pic 1 and 3 the woman obviously likes the guy.

Pic 2 is... could be anything, maybe just 2 friends seeing sexual innuendo jokes or something like that (or it could not) or just challenging in some game.

First and second: "Sexy time is around the corner"

On the first one, notice how her back is facing him while she's making eye-contact, almost as if she's presenting, that looks extremely sexual.

Third one, the male said something witty/clever about a person the women knows, which paints a hilaurious picture in her mind that humors her, most likely a great exaggeration on a particular flaw.

Anyone look at them and think "I wouldn't have a clue"?

All of these people are flirting with each other, indicating some kind of interest in each other. The second picture conveys to naughtiest of interest to me.

They obviously dig each other. They might be in on an inside joke.

Then again, the interest seems so blatant that all these people might be actors.

I doubt it. They are too obvious. Just like Simon Baron-Cohens "eyes test" doesn't have a lot of relevance for neurodiversity (as is), the same is true for too obvious displays of affection. People do learn to interpret these things even if it's not natural. IRL it never is this obvious, which is why we might miss them there. Another factor is that we do not connect things we see directly to interest, rather do this hours or days after, at which time we already missed the opportunity. The latter is not because we missed the signals, rather that we didn't analyse them as they happened.

I think that in the first one, the women looks interested but the guy just looks really bored.
In the second one, they both look super-creepy.
In the third one, it looks like a pretty neutral expression to me

My first thought is the muscle tension, these are staged photos.

They are flirtatious looks and poses. The middle one is a little smirky, like "I see what you're doing there" or "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

I'm curious what the OP thought was happening in these pictures.

The first two do look fake, as in staged.

The first is a bit ambiguous. Why are they making meaningful eye contact but moving apart with their bodies?

The second is like right out of a magazine and about as natural. Who the hell knows what it's supposed to mean.

The last is more natural but there is not a lot to go on. Two people at a bar. The girl is tipsy happy?

I wondered if the old silent films had very clear facial emotions...

But then I got sidetracked by the actressess's. Holy S*** they were beautiful!
