I think, especially given that it's Autism Awareness Month, it would be great to re-appropriate a holiday often known for illicit substances as one in which we highlight the difficulties navigating a world inherently not designed for us.

For instance, I am trying to navigate registering for classes at community college in Los Angeles, CA and dealing with a number of high pressure administrators that refuse to be of assistance. I am forced to go from office to office and I don't have any assistance from my parents so it's very frustrating and I've had a number of meltdowns during this time.

I know Buzzfeed would be very receptive to any contributions among other blogs. Here is a link: http://www.buzzfeed.com/post

It doesn't matter what it is, it can be employment, schooling (both public and private), finding an apartment, finding love, loss, heartbreak, depression, anything. I just think if we banded together and all contributed our thoughts and feelings to humanize autism (as we all tend to be excellent writers) we can bring about a lot of good in society for the benefit of us worldwide.

This is just an idea. I know not many view this forum but I would be more than happy to see this happen!
