Do you prefer longer or shorter hair?

Shorter means having hair that is badly past your ears and long is longer hair than past your hair.

I get frustrated when i have long hair and get meltdowns from having long hair, which is why i have to have shorter hair. I prefer shorter hair too, since it feels so nice to touch.
I just got a haircut. I love how much shorter my hair is now, and it looks good too (although i only care about how it feels).
I used to hate it when people touched my hair when i was younger, i dont like it now but i don't hate it either.

My hair is a bit longer than past my ears.

+1 for short. I find keeping up with grooming much easier, and reliably look more tidy, with it short. Plus I too like the feel of it when very short, like a little animal.
I do cut it myself though, with shears, since I cannot stand other people touching me = can't stand someone else cutting my hair.

I have very long hair and I love it. I don't look good with short hair. The brushing and washing is a pain, but it is worth if for me when it is finally dry and brushed because it looks nice.

I think I look better with long hair rather than short hair. I also feel like I can hide in it, but it can sometimes be in the way

My hair is badly past my ears, but it does not extend past my hair.

Oops!! Typo!
(thanks for letting me know!)
I mean hair that extends past your ears

I've had long hair for such a long time that I have a hard time imagining myself with short hair. It simply wouldn't suit me.

Hair is pointless.

I hate long hair(they are pain to wash and dry, they also get in the way when I am sleeping and they wet my clothes after I swim) but I look bad in very short hair(to the ear) and I consider hair length of "to the end of jaw" annoying (they are everywhere when wind blows and I don't have any way to control them because they are too short for a ponytail and I look childish in pigtails) so for now I stick to hair length of "almost to the shoulder" and I tie a ponytail.

I like getting hair cuts. And hair washes because it means that I don't have to do it.

My haircuts are usually long in the front and short in the back - like a reverse mullet (Aussie). It's starting to annoy me so it is soon time for another hair cut.

long because when it's short it sticks out funny.

I also like getting hair cuts(I like when someone touches my hair) but I dislike having my hair washed because the sinks literally hurt my neck.

I much prefer short hair. It is easier to clean and doesn't get in the way. My hair is thick, and when long, "explodes" when I blow dry it. It is completely unmanageable that way. Hair clips just slide off my hair, and it quickly escapes from headbands. I don't put sprays, mousses, or any other junk on it, just shampoo, sometimes one with conditioner, as those additives make my hair feel icky. A while back I bought a hair clip kit, but so far, I've only used it once, and my hair is badly in need of another home salon treatment. Although it didn't turn out perfect the first time I used the clipper kit, it wasn't bad, and I didn't have to pay someone else to do it. My bedroom door has a long mirror on it, so I put a folding chair and a small garbage can by it whenever I cut my hair. Prior to getting the clipper kit, I've done my cuts with salon scissors only. It's not as good as it is with the clipper kit but doesn't come out too bad, either. When I finally am ready to tackle the job, I'll have to use the salon scissors first to hack off most of the hanging hair before working on the hair on my head, as I did the last time I cut my hair.

What can be done with hair is flexible--length, style, color, etc., and if we don't like it we can cut it short, and wait for the rest of the unwanted style to grow out. It's basically a matter of personal choice.
