So I had someone contact me looking for ways to spread autism awareness in handouts and the like, looking to put them up in the workplace. I'm going to direct them to at least autism understanding or, better yet, acceptance handouts because awareness things tend to be pretty terrible and meaningless (my attitude is great, you know 1 in 68, but do you actually know anything about autism/autistic people themselves?). I'm really not finding anything though. Do you guys know of any?

Thanks!
BigSister

Thanks for the information! It's nice to have something to pass along. :)

Also, yes, ditto. I went through your blog last night (what I could justify before I forced myself to start studying again, that is) and it's really good. :) Plus you're always answering questions here on WrongPlanet and I really respect your opinion, you always put up very helpful and insightful responses. :)

You might want to refer to leaflets or pamphlets rather than "handouts". I got entirely the wrong impression reading the subject line of this thread as "handouts" typically refers to donations of money to the poor or people in need.

Oops. Had not made that connection, thanks for letting me know! Too late to edit the original post, but I will keep that in mind in the future.
