Just a question wondering if other people with same diagnosis have ever done a YouTube video. I've been doing it on and off since Feb 2013 when I was only 17. Gone through 4 channels through that time and highest being over 150 subs with 3500+ views. Lol, don't mean to brag if it comes across that way.

Anyway was just wondering if anyone did do it or is still doing or even thinking of doing it. From what I know I have one IRL friend who does YouTube (if he can be bothered) and another I befriended over some YouTuber forums from Israel who are both under the autistic spectrum and enjoy doing it.

Oh and if ya wanna say how many subs, views (if allowed, just joined site not entirely sure you're able) link a video or a link to your channel feel free. I'll will most likely check the channel/video out. I've done a poll for be people who just want to say through that way. Or do both, feel free. :D

I do videos on occaision. Sort of. I'm at about 200 subscribers for no discernible reason... no, seriously, I have no idea why they subscribe. What I put out is very random and often doesnt involve commentary. I tend to put out alot of shmup-related stuff, or videos of things I've made in LittleBigPlanet.

I may as well link a couple of vids as examples.

The video I have the highest views on is at.... oh good grief, the damn thing is nearing 200,000 now. And I dont know WHY. I dont know how people even FIND it. It's just a video of a major fail moment at the end of Binding of Isaac, the fight against Satan (who was the final boss at the time). I found it so bloody stupid that I uploaded it, and stuck a small bit at the end of it to express my frustration at the whole thing. Damn video exploded with views, and.... I've no idea why, or how. Eventually I had to repress comments, because even a freaking year after I'd uploaded the horrid thing, they just kept coming and were getting on my nerves. The stupid vid is like a mad science experiment gone horribly, horribly wrong.

The vid with the next-most amount of views doesnt have even CLOSE to as many as that one, being at about 20,000. It's a video of the first major thing I made in the original LittleBigPlanet; at the time there wasnt anything else like this monstrosity.... a fact that would remain all throughout that game's lifespan... so the horrible thing was unique and generated attention. As a fan of bullet-hell shmups, I wanted to make something that had that element in LBP; this horror is the result. Or at least, the first result, as I kept making more of these and they got more efficient over time, as opposed to the hideous jumbled mess that functions as the "AI" of this first one. I kept getting asked to make a video explaining how to make things like this, but knowing just what actually controlled it, I didnt do this. Eventually I made a seperate video just showing the controlling bits and pointing out WHY I never did a tutorial.

And yes, all of that stuff is entirely dodgeable. I figured out where Sackboy's ACTUAL hitbox is, and it's alot smaller than you'd think, a trait which has carried over into the 2nd and now the third game.

And this is most-watched video number 3, one of my shmup vids, showcasing the final boss of a particular game from Cave that would later get a full translation and come over to the States, I think it released in the UK also. I dont know why this specific video got so many views.

And finally, the last one doesnt have many views, but I dont care; I'm happy with it's very existence, as it's the most "impressive" one I've ever done, in a shmup known for being the single most difficult game ever made. It's worth noting that this first level is by far the easiest of that mode, and despite what I do in the video, just level freaking TWO is utterly beyond me currently. Let alone the unholy nightmare that is the rest of that mode.

So there we go, that's what I do with my channel. I seriously dont know why anyone subscribes, as my content is extremely random and put out at equally random intervals depending on what I've been doing.

Yes, I have a channel of videos of me playing The Sims 2-4, Spore and The Sims Medieval, and one video of artwork I made based on games I've played over the years. I'd like to make videos of my console games as well but I don't have that thingimabob that lets you record them on your computer while playing.

No, I've never made or uploaded any videos. Nor do I have any interest in doing so. Nor do I have the skills to make one, and doing one of myself is out of the question.
I don't get how anyone can have so much to say and make video upon video.

I have an account, which I've used to like/dislike vids and make the occasional comment. I logged out when YouTube started pestering me about using my real name instead of username. If I had wanted my real name on the account, I would have typed that to start with

You mean the Google account stuff?

I did that (I have a fake name that I use for almost everything), and it totally screwed up my YouTube account...basically what it did was make it so that I had two YouTube accounts...one was my original account that I signed up with, the other was my Google account that they forced me to create. It defaulted to the Google one, which had stolen my "avatar" thumbnail, but nothing else...I had to do a bunch of tinkering around to get it to default to my REAL YT account, which is where all of my videos, favorites, comments, etc. are held, but unfortunately it no longer had a thumbnail, and I couldn't figure out how to get it back again =|

Super annoying. Thanks a lot, Google.

^ Yes, I meant the Google account thing.

Wow, with all of that, super annoying is right.

Ah yeah, I remember that stupid crap from Youtube. "Use your real name now!". I told it to shove off, and am still "Misery" on there same as always. I dont remember what I did to it to get that to happen.

Aside from the site's infinite festival of glitches, it works out normally.

Really, what I want most from them is to STOP making new "features" (note the sarcastic quotes there), and fix the nearly unlimited bugs that they've introduced by constantly doing that first!

I hate that place, so much...

Yes, I do...sort of. So far I've only uploaded a few Mario Kart 8 highlight reels and some game clips from Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, but I am looking into doing more on my channel ( or at least streaming on Twitch... )

I've stopped uploading on YouTube about a year ago. I was sick and tired of the automated copyright ID system always tracking me down so some lowlife frauds could monetize off of my videos. What does a machine know about fair use? The machine doesn't even validate any research. It automatically sides with the fraud as winner by default even though I could prove again and again that the fraud holds no particular copyrights to anything I uploaded.

I moved on to zippcast. At least their copyright system is handled by ACTUAL PEOPLE. I don't know if anyone has ever tried zippcast, but whether you like it or don't, it's worked out well for me so far. I'm up to 150 videos and I have more games to Let's Play now than I had back in my YouTube days.

Never heard of Zippcast before, might look into that.

I understand why you no longer use youtube for these reasons.

^ If they go for that, I don't think a lot of people will bother, so that would likely be the end of it for YouTube. I really hope it doesn't come to that because YT is so much bigger than its competitors and have so many good channels.
