I'd prefer become 10 times richer. Aspergers itself is not the source of my problems.

If I was 10 times smarter I would be dead by now and Asperger syndrome for me is not that disabling but aspiphobia is I would have rather had an IQ of below 70 because no one would like these to be unhappy when you have so called normal intelligence then you are just seen as a wanker and should have no happiness and kindness towards you becomes inappropriate behaviour. Mental acceleration is not a gift but an awful burden and allistic people see you as much less than human like a mobile app or something like that. Actually mental acceleration is linked to suffering form post traumatic stress disorder, type I bipolar disorder, forms of epilepsy borderline personality disorder et.c. So no I wouldn't want an IQ of 1370 I wouldn't have lived to 48 years old. :!:

I'd be building killer robots and taking over the world. Muahahaha!

But honestly I don't know. There's long been a philosophic debate about the value of happiness and intelligence, being intelligent does not cause happiness--in fact it can often be detrimental to ones happiness because you can see and understand the problems of the world and your own lack of ability to affect change on anything but a small level, while less intelligent people can have their needs met put their faith in a higher power that will make everything all right and generally be happy.

What would really seem more important to you would be developing your ability to communicate, our relationships with others often directly affect our happiness (not in every case but most) and our ability communicate greatly affects our ability to build and maintain healthy relationships. The good thing is communication is in part a learned skill, and you can work to develop it, the sad part is its very difficult to learn, it can be a frustrating process and you're honestly going to hit a wall at some point (and may have already--I don't know what sort of treatment you've had) especially when it comes to your ability to pick up on social cues without conscious thought (accessing a memory to relate current behavior to past etc).

I'm sure having Asperger's removed would, if anything, decrease my intelligence. Then, if I were to become to become 10 times smarter I'd be maybe average and not only would I no longer be able to draw and write fiction at a pro level, which make me more than happy, but we can forget about my ever finding the cure for cancer or saving an endangered species from extinction. :P

I'd rather be good at drawing cartoons and writing than ever being able to socialize at an NT level. My characters have brought me more happiness than almost any real person I know.

I would be way happier. I don't think being smart makes you unhappy. Even if it did, my aspie traits probably make me more unhappy than being smart ever would.

I would be happy to have my Asperger's removed, and have 20 fewer IQ points than I do now. I hate Asperger's.

I'm sorry if this is a very stupid question, but why is there the expectation that IQ would increase with Asperger's removed?

If I were 10 times smarter and no longer an Aspie, I'll hack the societies' social construct(s).

I won't be happier or sadder. I'll just take it. In hopes I will not be stuck in between states of having identity crisis afterwards.

My Asperigers isn't that much of a problem nowadays & it's part of who I am so I'd like to keep it but I'd also like to make my brain better while keeping the Aspergers.

I'd happily have people root around in my head and rewire my brain if it meant getting rid of my Asperger's. I'm sick of feeling like a carnival sideshow let out of it's cage; I don't care if the procedure would make my IQ higher or lower at all, I'd go for it in a heartbeat. I'm not even a savant anyway, so what would I care about having a slightly harder time learning things?

I think the question fails because you're offering us X AND Y. Giving us something presumably desirable, AND also getting rid of something presumably undesirable.

It would be more interesting if it were "X... OR..... Y"

To someone with a club foot: would you rather have the same IQ and have your club foot magically made into a normal foot, or would you rather keep your club foot and get a 20 pt increase in your IQ?

To someone with diabetes: same question but substitute "club foot" with "diabetes".

To someone with aspergers/autism ditto except sub "aspergers" for "club foot".

People never know that not all people with genius IQs are meant for something great. For every Albert Einstein there is 4 more that have Genius IQs but have something that makes it more difficult for them. Plus I don't think that would be possible, It's nearly 6.44-5.367 times more than the highest known IQ, and that was rounding up. The highest known one is somewhere around 250-300. I'm pretty sure it's impossible, After the 200 IQ really doesn't matter because you could only get all the questions right. Which would most likely be 200, since 100 is average and I mean 50% is average.
