Last night while I was lost in thoughts I remembered as a kid sometimes if I said something to another person when I finished my sentence I would then under my breath say the last three or four words of that sentence. It was like it was a second audio track that was playing out of sync with the primary track (what I was saying to the person) and could only be heard when the primary stopped playing. I still kind of do this now, though I don't notice it as much as back then.

Does this have something to do with Autism or Aspergers or is it something else? Does anyone else do something similar?

Something similar happens to me at times.

Is this autism/Asperger's related? Who knows?

Maybe you were just shy/reticent.

I was pretty shy and reserved as a kid. Theatre has helped to change that.

I don't think I do it nowhere near as much as I used too, but the times I have in recent time I do it so quietly that no one except me hears it.

Not sure. When i was younger i did had this occasionaly. Poor word articulation sucks in social situations.
Sometimes i would also say everything really fast to someone so i guess they really felt uncomfortable and did not hear a thing i said. I remember i had this alot when i was 16. Not only did i talk fast, it was also pretty emotionless.. like i was an android or something.

After watching TV series and anime for years, i sorta learned how to 'speak' in a calm and more artistic way with various tones. Now i appear almost human i think, coming straight out of a TV. Too bad i'm the one to know it is all 'fake'
