I read recently a very interesting novel (for teens but still; it's a very interesting one when it comes to its topic and well written) - Miss Peregrine's House for Peculiar Children. A group of kids with superpowers is stuck in a time loop, where that one day repeats - late summer in 1940 in Wales. Something like a combination of some sort of "Miss Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" and "Professor Xavier's School for Mutants". A girl creating fire, an invisible boy... All of them stuck in that eternal one day, where everything, the whole reality, gets reseted after that one day and no one from the town but for the Peculiars remembers anything. You can leave the time loop but if you spend more than like a couple of hours outside, time wits all its burden falls on you; you die of an old age even if after all those years you still look like a kid. Everything is limited to that one day and one town. And here comes the question: "if you could live in such a loop, where would it be?" And when?

I'd want to create mine - if I were such a time manipulator - I'd want to locate my loop somewhere in a big city like L.A., NYC, in our time, like I mean, it could be this very day - I'd want that day to be somewhere in summer or late spring but I wouldn't want the day to be too hot (and I don't want any rain, bad weather etc.). I would want to live in an isolated mansion, maybe close to the beach but also close to the city center, stores, in which all modern goods possible would be available. If this option wouldn't be possible for this or that reason, I would want my loop to be somewhere in the midst of a jungle or even desert (though I do know I'd get bored with the mere sands of desert after a short time, lol). Or maybe somewhere in ancient Rome - I could go outside and buy things on their markets and in their shops, look at people... Or somewhere in Victorian London or in Chicago in the time of Prohibition.

Yes, I DO know you wouldn't want to get stuck in that one SINGLE day :) like in some sinister version of the Groundhog Day but if you had to?

We can also strain our imagination and try to imagine in what book/movie/comic book you would want to locate your loop, as well.

In my case those would be:

1. The planet of Eden from Heavy Metal FAKK - Julie from the game has such a nice mansion, even if it's so far from civilisation.
2. The Dreaming realm from Sandman.
3. Somewhere near the Dark Tower itself or in Calla Bryn Sturgis or maybe in the Teritorries - for King's fans.
4. In Harry Potter's world but not in Hogwarts, it's boring to be at school for the rest of eternity and someone would pay attention why I'm not attending any classes that day; rather I'd want to live in the Diagon Alley.
