Santa Cruz County , CA
The main people I deal with at the homeless center here said to me that they think I cannot get anywhere to temporarily stay and get recovery from the both-toes-amputated operation I had more than TWO MONTHS ago , which I have never been able to receive :( , because I am " too Aspergers'-ish " , the two pointing to my " behavior " , presumably around Santa Cruz ~ Which is funny , since in all the time I have been in SC , the only times I have resided anywhere " collectively " was in this (rather run down) nursing home I was in during 2014 in a last-ditch attempt to have my then-not-amputated toes recover ~ Which did not work , obviously :( ~ Which was , aside from my County Jail time , the only time I've for-any-length lioved in any sort of " place " (Not counting hospitalizations) whilst in SC , IIRC - And , I have NEVER  , ever , been the recipient/a member of some " for Aspies " group program , I have never received that :( .
Any " they're helping older Aspies now " story is poppycock , from my perspective :( .
And my feet are now back at about the place they were two years ago , they went DOWNHILL :( after I was discharged from the amputating hospital in Everett , WA , with them withdrawing about getting me r&r/recuperation care to learn to walk correctly on my now 7&1/2 toes :( , instead , I now have an open wound again ~ :( ~ If I could only stay somewhere & rest  .

I'm so sorry to hear that, I'd let you stay with me but you are a million miles away.

...It just seems that finding the basics of resting and recovering is beyond me
If I could , even , just maybe sleep somewhere in someone's garden shed or garage (with access to water-a toilet and near public transporation) , and be able to leave my stuff there when I went out ~ I could , maybe , find some clinic that I could get pills from and occasional bandaging/looking at the wounds , I think .
But no . :(

- Santa Cruz County , CA -
I went somewhat upcounty , to Watsonville , to try and see whether shelter or hospital stuff there could lead me to help ~ Um , not so much :( .
Briefly , Tues. nite getting directed to the hospital there ~ had me run into an employee there who knew me and disliked me from my earlier visits to SC's hospital (the same owners ?) , and , he told/suggested lies about me , and threatened me ~ So I left , the buses were dead by then , slept in front of a business building , woke up by a cop in the morning .
Wed. , I went to the edgish of town rescue mission ~ Adequate , but one employee there seemed to follow me around/ask me lotsa questions - Then m, in the morning , I guess I was a little slow getting dressed and out (Partly since I had taken the opportunity to have my clothes washed) , and he kept coming back (The wake-up time was 5A.M , more or less , anyway , and maybe 6 A.M or so was " get-out-by " time?? Yes , folks , the luxurious wastrel life in HL shelters .) ~ I was told I could come back . As of right now , however , I am a little to cash-low to hang around W'Ville , I plan to return to Santa Cruz town now ~ My first money for the next month comes in tomorrow , I guess I'll......... :?:
Something that did not go as well as I hoped was that , I thought I could get a Nix/whatever treatment at the mission , and get into nice clothes afterwards ~ As I said , I got clothes washed , but tho I got a shower , they had no Nix so the infestation/insects may be reduced/low tide , but they have not gone away ~ :( .
I had thought I could get cleaned up , and maybe at least get MY OPEN WOUND on my foot at least bandaged , neither of those :( .
And if I am persona non grata at the hospital in W'Ville , I suppose any " setting myself here " even temporarily/on an HL level is unlikely :( .
I really was , at least in theory , coming up here to see whether I could " get help " , even briefly , through " conventional means " and not try going to jail again . Maybe I will try a hospital in (Somewhere further inland ~ I won't " possibly jinx myself " by saying so .) , I am telling myself that now ~ My duffle bag is REALLY reaching the " stuff-falling-out " stage , by the way :( . Auntblabby and Kraftiekortie have my USPS and E-mail addresses and my real name , BTW , if you wantit contact them :) ...........

...Santa Cruz County , CA ~
It is Saturday now , I am in the town where the hospitasl rejected me , I am planning to into another , inland not by the ocean , county to see if I can get any hospital help there :(
This is sort of a " last attempt to do the ' proper/correct ' thing , and if I don't get anything or anything long-lasting , I will make another attempt to get arrested in Santa Cruz " ? :?:
You see , three weeksish of jail time back in 2013 m, with being jailhouse idle and off my feet and getting occasional/some basic pills-being looked at at the nurses' station did get my bad toe somewhat better - about 40% so , I'd say , with definite nice pink new skin :) and the wound getting somewhat smaller (I don't whether the interior infection was serious enough again that I wouldn't have been able to be 100% cured , anyway , though) ~ Now , two years later , with my having finally allowed the amputation ~ And then , due to the hospital backing out on me and not getting me the rest-and-rehab " Act Two " learning to walk agin care they said threy
d get me , my feet , post-the hospital discharge in January , have GONE DOWNHILL ! from there and are about they were two yeras ago today and have an open hole in the left foot's toe remnant :( ...........

...I went to the (Monery County) hospital and was essentially rejected/got a teeny bit of treatment , but was soon out ~ I was hoping for a bridge to get some treatmant SOMEWHERE :( , maybe a couple days at the hospital ~ However , even to get a bandaging of my foot I had to push :( ~ Is it pretty clear that I will NEVER , as things now stand , hope to find any help ANYWHERE through " the conventional means " that have been known to me ?ity get better , EVER , under the " conventional " ?
Whatever " black mark " I have w/hospitals & orgs around here plus my record , maybe ? :(
I am still in Watsonville , after sleeping in an office's lawn on Fri. nite I was woken up by a cop , eventually made it back to Watsonville but missed the last bus back to Santa Cruz bys seconds , didn't reallysleep and took lots of caffeine , am now on W'Ville library having tricked them to giving me two computer guess passes to have more time on ?
What way do you think I'm EVER going to , f*****g , get even the LEAST treatment for the open toe wound :( ?
Really , try to go to jail again ?
If I COULD , really , sleep in someone's yard shack/garage like I outlined above it could help :( .
My clothes are falling apart I do have a minimal basic set of new clothes but til' after I have gotten some Nix/etc. to get rid of my infection I don't want to put them on  , and my jacket , where I carry my stuff , 's pockets are falling apart , my duffel bag is developing mucho holes , which I am using tape to cover up , but it comes off , as I mentioned , my installments-weekly SSD gets me rather little money enough tp get ambitious/expensive things

Sounds like a bad situation that's getting worse.

I lived in motels for years at a time & for a while at one point got to know some of the people living on the streets in Berkeley & in the Bay Area in general, so I sympathize fairly strongly with your situation.

You might try Southern Orange County, especially the Laguna Beach area.
They have decent services & clinics & such for homeless people, and the weather is nice, which is why there are a lot of homeless folks around that area in general.
Also, the beach area is full of hidey-holes which are decently protected from the weather, yet are fairly nearby to public restrooms/showers/water fountains & such.
If you decide to come to the OC area at some point, feel free to send me a message, I may be able to help at least a little bit with some very basic (bandages, antiseptic, and topical antibiotics, maybe some clothes and a bag) stuff; I'd offer to help more, but my resources are extremely limited & I don't know you yet so there are boundary & trust issues.

In any case, I hope your situation improves & that you keep us apprised of the situation.

Wish I could do more to help, but know at least that I'm paying attention & am concerned about your well-being.

...I can imagine a sit. where my wound/etc. REALLY becomes an infection/" bad " again ~ and THEN , the Hospital-Industrial Complex tries to " help me " by putting me in a sh***y " home " , keeping me confined - & getting themselves more money  ?
I think I'd say " NO  ..........." to that die outside or maybe get better tere/through another means - What , have the people who could have (In this hypothesis) helped me fairly earlier " help " me too late ?

Ah well, it was just a thought.
The Laguna Beach area is relatively amicable for R&R in general & has a lot of services for homeless folks, so it seemed like a decent idea.
Having less than $10 to my name at the moment, though, I certainly understand monetary limitations.

Aside from hitch-hiking down the 5, though, which I know for a fact is possible if not necessarily particular safe or easy, there's another option you might consider if you really wanted to attempt a relocation: trying to arrange a ride ahead of time for free or for very little.
There are plenty of people who drive back & forth from SoCal to the Bay Area on a regular basis, so it should in theory be possible to hook up a ride most or all of the way down.
Possibly for free even, but for significantly less than a bus or train ticket at the very least.
You'd probably want to look for people looking to ride-share and/or consider posting an ad yourself looking for such a ride for free or really cheap on craigslist.

I'm not saying it would be easy or quick, especially considering your current state, but I'm pretty sure it is doable.

Again, just a thought.

I do know that Santa Cruz & the Bay Area in general isn't a place I'd want to be wounded, in need of rest & recovery, and out-doors, though.
Seems like you need a change of venue or some quick housing of some sort, or your situation & options are going to go from bad to worse.
I had one other thought along those lines.
I know you have limited funds, so most forms of temporary housing are completely out of your price range for more than maybe a single day a week, which wouldn't be enough to justify the expense.
However, there were a few youth hostels in the Bay Area, and one in Santa Cruz specifically if I recall correctly that I stayed in when I was nearly broke & needing shelter which were clean & nice & ranged from $10-$20 a night, which I'd imagine your SSD could cover for at least a few days, enough to get yourself some decent rest at least.
I have no idea if those places are still in operation or if the prices have increased substantially since my visits years ago, but try look up Hosteling International accredited youth hostels in the area, you might just be pleasantly surprised.

That's all I've got idea-wise for now, but I'll keep my subconscious on it, see if it spits out any other possibilities.
