Asking "what problems are not problems?" is like asking "what cars are not cars?" It's a nonsensical question.

The problem of being intelligent, in absence of a marketplace for exchange of ideas, is that you begin to think that you are dumb even though you know otherwise. You blame neurology (<insert HFA/Other>) instead of your attitude. If you were intelligent you wouldn’t find yourself so isolated but you are intelligent so why can’t you get yourself out of it? You’ve stop believing in yourself and despite your intelligence you lack the proper perspective. Now you find yourself in a position you thought and think given your intelligence you shouldn’t be in but you are and your intelligence isn’t to blame, either. Being intelligent isn’t a problem in itself but the social isolation that can result from it can make you feel that there’s no point to your intelligence. An intelligent mind seeks a marketplace of ideas where its products are valued and its inquisitiveness is rewarded. In absence of this exchange, the intelligent mind can become hostile unto itself and will seek to root out a cause and will find itself to be the culprit. This is a recurring problem for me. Today my mind being, especially, hostile unto itself I created a “Letterman” like top ten list as a balm. I have trouble sleeping, lately, and, perhaps, posted even more self-indulgently than I usually do.

Here less solipsistically and less obscure...

The Top Ten Problems that are not Problems because I'm an Aspie

2. learn to live with the choices you make
