I honestly see nothing wrong with this. I mean, isn't it a good thing that everyone in California will now be vaccinated? Do people just not understand how harmful it is for people to refuse to vaccinate themselves and/or their children?

There has always been untruthful stuff spread about vaccines from the very first vaccines in the 1700s.

Today people still believe that vaccines carry a huge risk of causing disabilities including Autism and neurological stuff thanks to that falsified UK study (The doctor faked the data because the study turned up nothing and he wanted fame) that was widely publicized in the early 1990s. It was only retracted a few years ago after the investigation confirmed it was all faked.

Though a good many people still believe it and believe the investigation and retraction were all part of a Big Pharma scheme (Big Pharma had nothing to do with this one, surprisingly)

The new laws says, you are REQUIRED TO VACCINATE YOUR CHILDREN, in order for them to attend schools and other events of that nature (MUST SHOW PROOF ON ENROLLMENT AND REGULARLY UPDATE THE FILE)

If you do not wish to have them vaccinated, YOU MUST HOME SCHOOL THEM AT YOUR EXPENSE!
Your kids are also banned from most events that exist for children.

Children who are unable to receive vaccines due to health issues, are EXEMPT from the law.

These laws have been UPHELD time and again the by courts, thus legal precedent is against the opposition.

I mean I had to have proof of Vaccination at every public school I went to in Michigan and Ohio through High School in order to attend.
Hell I had to show that my records were up to date in order to attend 7th, 8th, and 9th grades (it was all the in same school district).

People really have forgotten how many lives and dollars have been saved over the past 200 years do to vaccines.

Fascist laws are meant to be broken, this law will not be enforceable and it will be the workers that won't follow the orders since they already laugh at half the "expectations" put upon them. The government does not own me, they do not get to make medical decisions on my and my children's behalf, if the vaccines are in our best interest then it shouldn't be an issue selling them. The whole "herd immunity" argument is garbage, other people cannot be coerced into medical procedures for whatever reason. The vaccines they give us aren't 100% effected, in fact most of the people that have gotten sick from measles in this last outbreak were vaccinated adults and guess what NO ONE DIED. It's not a serious disease, its not smallpox or ebola. Flu shots aren't ever effective, how are the other ones? I don't think hepatitis or HPV vaccines are needed as long as your child isn't a prostitute or sharing needles. Nothing is stopping them from getting those vaccinations as an adult when they can consent to it themselves. They're not necessary, the honest to god truth is that if your child is healthy then it isn't a big deal and might actually be more beneficial for your child to get sick and get that immunity. Your health is your responsibility, get a vaccine or don't and stop worrying about other people.

The law is enforceable because it is needed for children to attend school and other said activities.
The vaccine laws from pre 1990s were a lot stricter than this and were upheld.
Do you want them to reinstate quarantine with use of the police?

This law doesn't mandate all vaccines, just the childhood ones.

Many vaccines are 100% effective, though some aren't.

Herd immunity is a proven science with actual data to back it.
This is how Small Pox, TB, Bubonic Plague, Polio (down to 6 countries), Whooping Cough, etc... were all contained with the the eventual eradication of Small Pox and Cow Pox (though Cow Pox was a casualty of Small Pox vaccine).

Measles Vaccine can't prevent everyone (Though those with weak immune systems are still at risk) from getting the disease but it does prevent you from dying and having the severe life long side of Measles (yeah you can be disabled due to Measles).

Hepatitis A-C aren't solely transmitted via needles.
You can it from:
*Sex
*Doctor's office
*Hospital
*Dentist
*Work place (especially if there is machinery)
*Tattoo parlors
*Construction sites
*Druggies
*Schools
*Farms
and other places

If left untreated and/or unvaccinated it leads to permanent damage to the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and other organs.
It can also lead to death, especially C.
You do need to get booster shots .

HPV is leading cause of vaginal and reproductive cancer in women and girls.
HPV is in the majority of the general population and rarely effects guys, though it is mainly spread through sex (Even when a condom is used) to women and girls. Those who get it, get it from regular sexual activity in their relationships with their partners.

You don't have to get vaccinated for it, but women have no right to complain if HPV gives them cancer.

The flu vaccine is different from all other vaccines.
The CDC along with the WHO run models based on data from around the world to determine which flu strain (there are many of them) will become the main flu strain for the season. Based this model, they send the vaccine in production which takes months to grow in chicken eggs (the main way of making it) before it usable. If the models are wrong like this past year, then vaccine is useless against the other strains.
They cannot send the other strain in to vaccine production due to how many months it takes to grow the vaccine.

The flu still kills thousands of people in the U.S. each year and many more worldwide.

In the end preventable diseases costs the U.S. economy hundreds of billions of dollars each year and even more to the global economy.
Or better yet it costs hundreds if not thousands of dollars to people who ignore preventative measures, who then complain about the costs and the government not doing enough to stop it.

Or even better millions of people die globally due to preventable diseases across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania (which includes Australia).
Even more in Africa.

Oh there has always been a large part of the population who has been opposed to vaccines and other preventable measures do to many reasons.
Some use religion.
Some believe changes you from humans to something else, stripping you of your humanity.
Some still believe the Small Pox vaccine turns you into a cow.
Some believe vaccines are part of a genetic experiment lead by the U.S.
Etc...

I agree - strict vaccination laws were upheld by the courts in the past and are likely to be upheld in the future.

Does california's law allow private schooling? Most of the anti-vaxxers are well off anyway. In fact most of the low income schools in cali have no unvaccinated children.
